NO SECOND CHANCE
Self-Defense Close Quarter Combat System
Hello my name is Ray Mingo, and I am the developer of the NO SECOND CHANCE SYSTEM™ a.k.a N2C System™. N2C™ is a self-defense close quarter combat system that I developed through many years of analyzing and researching street fighting techniques, as well as using some of my own personal experiences in street fight. I am a martial artist with over 25 years of experience. I have extensive training in Shotokan, Japanese Jiu-jutsu, Shindo Yoshin, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, and Catch Wrestling. I've also studied some FMA stick and knife fighting tactics and Jeet Kune Do (JKD) .
I am also a certified personal trainer (CPT) and a certified massage therapist (CMT), specializing in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, stretch therapy, and Swedish massage. I’ve also work alongside chiropractors treating people with muscular dysfunctions. I’ve also used my experience to develop a therapeutic massage modality that I call THE WARRIOR MASSAGE. The goal of the Warrior Massage® is to release asymmetric restricted muscles and to promote stability to the pelvic/sacrum region. The pelvic/sacrum region can be the primary area of postural distortion any postural distortion to the pelvic can cause compensatory postural distortion to the spine affecting the thoracic and cervical region above it and the knees, ankles, and feet below it. For an athlete this can be a major problem giving way to poor performance and injury. http://renewedmyotherapy.wix.com/renewed-therapy
I have taken all my research, experience, and training and developed this effective urban self-defense close quarter combat system that I call NO SECOND CHANCE™ or N2C™. N2C specializes in practical, real-life, modern urban self-defense tactics and fighting skills. N2C training is based “The Eye of the Hurricane Concept” or "The Eye of an Attacker Assault". The most recognizable feature found within a hurricane is the eye, it is found at the center and is between 20-50km in diameter. The eye is the focus of the hurricane, the point about which the rest of the storm rotates and where the lowest surface pressures are found in the storm. Skies are often clear above ‘the eye’ and winds are relatively light. It is actually the calmest section of any hurricane. It is a safe place.
The eye is the calmest and safest place of the hurricane, the outside of the hurricane is where it destructive force lies at. I base the N2C System on The Eye of the Hurricane phenomenon. The safest place when being attacked by any assailant, is not on the outside of the attacker or moving away from the attacker. By staying outside of or moving away from a punch, kick, or weapon your chances of getting caught increases. This is also where the power and velocity of a strike is at its greatest. When you stay on the outside or move away from an attack you take yourself out of range to deliver an effective counter. This also prolongs time engaging in a confrontation. The safest place is inside or in close range to the assailant's trunk. It is much more difficult to get hit while inside.
Moving inside of the attacking arm or in close proximity to the attackers body, where the power and velocity of that strikes dissipates becomes more effective. Learning how to effectively get inside by using efficient and economical footwork is one of the primary focuses of the N2C System, having effective fighting tools when inside is the other. This will also end the time of confrontation quicker. Being on the outside of an attack totally takes away the defenders ability to counter and places them in the path of a destructive force.
The N2C System teaches:
1) Effective ways of getting to the inside through the use of effective simplistic footwork. I believe that everything is about effective footwork and balance it is the foundation of the N2C System.
2) To dismiss the fear of going inside. It is often taught to move away from an attack, this theory only leaves you constantly moving away to eventually getting caught or on the inside where you’re uncomfortable and insecure being at.
3) The theory of Positive and Negative Entry
4) And last, effective simultaneous effective incapacitating fighting techniques when inside
If you're good, the N2C self-defense system will make you better through this concept and principles. N2C IS a martial analyzing system. That’s why our subtitle is “Inventive Self-Defense Research. Urban Self-Defense Research. Close Quarter Combat Research System.” N2C helps you fix what you do.
N2C does this in one of two ways:
1) Find lost components that destroy your technique's power chain. Sometimes there’s something missing that makes some SD/Combative technique unsuccessful.
2) Finding unconscious, habitual and extra movement that is being added. Extra movement isn't effective; it weakens your move, wastes time, and leaves you exposed to injury.
The goal of N2C is to get you to move and act effectively. Because effectiveness not only is the height of the MA/SD/H2HC, but it is that which will keep one alive in a violent encounter. N2C will introduce you to the factors that you must consider before you even try to apply what you know in a 'self-defense' situation. Issues such as legal considerations, "planning for success," social and moral issues about violence and adrenal stress factors that must be considered. Having the well and see the necessity to defend ones self.
